I respectfully disagree. Frame rate is just one part of it. Film has very unique color density properties that until only recently haven't been replicated digitally. I would argue above frame rate, halation, Bloom, gateweave etc, color tops the list. No question. I can look at a still frame from something shot on 35 mm and tell you if it's digital or film just from the color densities

I hear you. I talk about this in the video. Personally I would use this for conceptualization or internal projects, but anything I would previously hire a VO artist for I would still hire them.

@@_nuro_ Yeah, I don't disagree. Unfortunately, we are already there. I do think this kind of tool fills a different space, though. I think it's better for conceptualization, pitches, etc., pre-budget-approved projects. AI is undoubtedly a two-edged sword. And I thought about VO a lot. The downside for VO artists is, I think, being underbid on pricing or worst of all having their voice stolen, but the flipside is that a tool like this doesn't necessarily change the competition in terms of who's voice will be chosen. Ultimately an affordable VO artist will be found on a page of other voices, and it's always going to be a game of "may the best / right voice win", that's why I appreciate that this tool uses real licensed voices as a starting point, because those artists are making their bag, and it's not some AI Frankenstein voice trained from dozens of others. It's not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction.

Definitely would be enough. Although I don't think for every situation. For competing w big conference room windows I think a more powerful light is useful. Because this one needs to be around 100% and it gets really hot

Yep! The context of Dehancer, I did a video over Dehancer's channel That is even more in-depth on the film process. It will help with understanding some of these modules even more deeply in how they relate to actual film. It's really in the weeds, but pretty fascinating if you're interested in color science, etc. And then I also highly recommend a documentary that Keanu Reeves directed called side by side. It's about the transition from film to digital in the early 2010s. It's extremely insightful in showing some of these principles. And actually seeing how they work in the film process.

In terms of recognizing looks, I would follow Kodak on Instagram or Facebook, and take a look at the videos that they post. They post a lot of films that are shot on 16 mm, 35 mm etc. And it will help you get a better ID on some of the trademark characteristics of film

That's fair, but it's not a literal sync. It's more meant to be sort of esoteric. A vo that the visuals are roughly matching to. Not literal dialogue in the video. Re the character of the audio vox I have no idea what you mean. in Terms of sound Fidelity and EQ it sounds pretty decent

Please don't get me wrong.This video was done very very well and I liked it a lot. But what I meant was exactly that. The fact that the voice over doesn't sink correctly to your lips is what gives that impression that the video is somewhat slightly fake. In the way you were shot. And two: That Uber ultra super clean voice over.Audio just doesn't match with certain scenes that you have. For example when you're outside uber clean audio just doesn't work, Or when you're on that white wall which I think is your house, The closeness or perspective of the audio doesn't match.How far away you are from the viewer. This is just me, though.Since I'm always looking at audio and movies And whatnot seeing how well the post production team and audio did. I used to work at a studio in glendale california and did some for work game of thrones and tons of other small local VO projects which we had to get THAT FEEL right. Ambience, environments, proximity and such.

@@trueblastmixingmastering7269 makes sense. Appreciate the feedback. I think the misunderstanding though is mistaking the voiceover for diegetic dialogue. It's supposed to be the other way around. It's a voice over with visuals that just happen to match. So it's not actually meant to be environmental dialogue w space mixing. It's literally meant to be a studio voice over... Not ADR. If that makes sense.
